Jan 2026: Change of ownership. Food limited to cream teas and cakes pending completion. Re-opened in 2021 following change of ownership and a major refurbishment in a traditional tavern style. The attractive building has parts dating from the 18thC with many booths, a quirky layout and decor, and no fewer than three log burners. Hops, hanging from the ceiling, are a major feature, along with comfortable chairs and seating. Outside there is a fantastic courtyard. An array of frequently changing ales and friendly staff make it well worth a visit.
